A good day for Cadlanvalley Bentley being Overall Welsh B Champion for Nicole Wayman he also was Reserve in an excellent line up for what was used to be called The Cuddy in hand Championship at HOYS now called The Price Family Championship
A very successful again for our team with Libby Qualifying for HOYS first time out with our own Hoekhurst Example
Another succesfull show with Libby riding her Majesty the Queens Highland Balmoral Mandarin produced by Lizzie Finlayson -Briant where he was Open M and M Champion Qualifying for the Royal International Horse Show
Still no shows in Wales we ventured to BSPS Area 11 for Libby to ride for Team Ramsey/Horton the 14.2 Show pony for Mr Charles Morgan Excelsis Omnia Duceum where he was 1st and Reserve Champion Qualifying for the Royal International Horse Show
Mean while in another part of the country Cadlanvalley Glimmer was Champion Section B and Bronze Rosette winner at Bucks Spectacular Show he is owned by Julie Horrocks.
It was great to hear that Cadlanvalley V.I.P had Qualified for HOYS at Stoneleigh horse show as a Junior at the first Qualifier of the season owned by Holly Levitt and ridden by Olivia Brightmore .
A brilliant show at the Royal Bath and West and the two year old colt Cadlanvalley Goldrush owned by Shelley Dobbs being Overall Welsh B Champion and Reserve for the Silver Medal ,it was great to see that the Champion was our breeding with her Sire being Cadlanvalley Georgie Boy and her dams sire was by Cadlanvalley Drum Major.
We were a very proud family when Libby had her first show riding her Majesty the Queens Highland stallion Balmoral Mandarin at UK Ponies and Horses Ltd where they made it a winning one and Reserve Champion in the Royal International Intermediate Young Rider class. We would like to thank Lizzie Finlayson Briant for asking Libby and giving her this tremendous honour at such a young age.
We have several mares bagging up nicely so will hopefully welcome our first foals of 2021 in the next week or two. Foaling will go on until the end of May so anyone interested please check on the website as it will be updated regularly .
With very little shows in 2020 we needed an educational experience for our filly foal Cadlanvalley Seashell and our three year old colt Cadlanvalley Total Elation as neither had been to a show previously both behaved very well considering it was a first show for both of them. Our filly foal was first and the three year old colt was second in a good class and mission accomplished for educational purposes
Rio was a big winner in Germany in hand winning many Championships and Supremes with the Blumle family.He is now back in the UK campaining ridden classes Open Welsh B and Junior classes with his little jockey Daisy May Allen and have had a succesful first season in dressage and showing, Doing well at the few major shows allowed this year including BSPS Summer Champs
